Julie completed her BS in Psychology in 2009. She completed her MA in Human Services with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2013. Later, she returned to school and completed a second MA in Counseling with a cognate in Addictions. Julie has a diverse background having worked in at-risk schools completing in-home visits; as a women’s advocate at Mel Trotter Ministries; and having worked with women struggling with addiction, homelessness, mental health issues, and other barriers to housing and employment. Julie has walked beside women in need providing support and encouragement as they worked towards autonomy, wholeness, and healing. She is the adoptive parent of four older special needs children.
