Hi everyone!! I’m McKenna Monette, LLMSW.
I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, and teens navigate life’s challenges in a safe, supportive, and empowering, (and fun!) environment. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel comfortable, valued, heard, and accepted for who they are.
My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, with a strong emphasis on building meaningful therapeutic relationships based on trust, collaboration, and respect. I believe that every client is the expert of their own life, and I work alongside them to help identify strengths, overcome obstacles, and achieve their personal goals. I work collaboratively with families, recognizing the important role they play in a client’s growth and well-being. I have admiration for every client and family I work alongside and value the unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths they bring to the therapeutic process.
I utilize a variety of evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, strength-based approach, and client-centered techniques that promote autonomy and self-determination.
My goal is to support clients in reaching the goals that matter most to them. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I am committed to continuously adapting to align with each client’s growth, needs, and aspirations. Together, we can build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to create meaningful and lasting change.
