Evidence-based Assessments and Therapy for ADHD

ADHD, also known as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, is a developmental difference that alters the brain’s capacity to regulate emotion and attention. While some symptoms are easily recognized, such as difficulty concentrating or needing to move/fidget, many signs of ADHD go unnoticed. Symptoms of ADHD

ADHD can also show up in many areas of life, including:

  • Difficulty with motivation and productivity
  • Trouble paying attention during conversation
  • Mood swings and emotional outbursts
  • Hyper focusing (focusing too much on something, such as a videogame)
  • Relationship problems
  • Thrill-seeking behaviors or need for stimulation/excitement
  • Acting without thinking
  • Interrupting conversations
  • Difficulty organizing priorities
  • Excessive talking
  • Unable to complete tasks
  • Inability to handle stress

Many additional symptoms can occur as well. Although some can get tested and diagnosed early in life, many struggle and live without answers. This often leads to self-doubt, low self-worth, and feeling defeated by life. Life does not have to be this way, and treatment solutions are available!
