Erika Katt

MS, TLLP

Erika is a clinical health psychologist who focuses on establishing authentic connections with her clients during the process of therapy. She takes steps towards creating a warm, non-judgmental environment in which clients are free to be open and vulnerable without fear of invalidation or the pressure of expectations. Erika believes each person’s experiences and perspectives are unique. She focuses on holding space for each client and meeting them where they are at. She operates in the therapeutic environment not as a figure of authority, but as a person utilizing mutual human connection to facilitate change. Taking risks is difficult, but Erika believes that even the first step is worthy of congratulations.

As a provider, Erika has a clinical health psychology background from University of Michigan-Dearborn. She graduated in August 2022. She is specifically trained to consider how the body, including chronic or acute health conditions, interacts with mental health. She is client-centered and collaborative with every person who walks through her door. She is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and has experience with both mindfulness and insight-oriented therapeutic interventions. Erika most enjoys working with adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (c-PTSD), and the LGBTQIA+ population. She is always willing to learn and grow to best serve the people she works with.
